Announcing Unstoppable Domains’ and DevPost’s 2024 Global Virtual Hackathon!

We’re thrilled to reveal that Unstoppable Domains is partnering with DevPost, the official home for hackathons, as well as Amazon Web Services (AWS), the world's most comprehensive and broadly adopted cloud, to host a global virtual hackathon, available to all web3 developers. This event will boast a $190,000 prize pool with the goal of inspiring new products offering AWS cutting-edge cloud services integrated into blockchain technology.

By merging the power of AWS’s cloud computing capabilities and Unstoppable Domains’ blockchain-based digital identity solutions, we wanted to encourage new, innovative web3 and AI applications. Imagine services that leverage blockchain's security and transparency, while also unlocking true the potential of Web3 digital identity. We will be providing all developers access to AWS’s vast array of cloud services, their artificial intelligence stack, UD Resolution API, and UD Partner API. Of course, these will be available alongside Unstoppable Domains’ own APIs, including the Resolution and Partner APIs.

To really make things exciting, our hackathon will be offering prizes in the form of a mixture of Unstoppable Domain Credits and AWS Activate credits*. This is being done to ensure all winning teams have continued access to these premium resources, in order to keep furthering their projects. There will be awards based around three unique tracks:  AI Driven Tooling, Resolution and User Experience, and Digital Identity. Each track will then be broken down into the top three winners, with awards as follows:

• 1st Place: $18,000 in UD Credits, Featured spot in UD Marketplace, $10,000 in AWS Activate credits
• 2nd Place: $10,000 in UD Credits, Featured spot in UD Marketplace, $5,000 in AWS Activate credits
• 3rd Place: $6,000 in UD Credits, Featured spot in UD Marketplace, $5,000 in AWS Activate credits

Additionally, every participating team that meets the hackathon criteria will receive $1,000 in UD for the AWS Activate Founders credit package, as well as their own listing in the UD Marketplace to help fuel their ongoing efforts.

*All AWS Activate credits are in USD and subject to the AWS Promotional Credit Terms & Conditions.

We knew we needed to ensure a diverse and expert panel for judging this event. That’s why our judges will be pulled from major thought leaders from both Unstoppable Domains and AWS, bringing a wide range of AI, blockchain, and cloud computing expertise to the table. This hackathon will also feature virtual workshops to provide new technical insights and multiple Q&A sessions designed to support developers throughout the duration of the event.
